RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–SEPTEMBER 1, 2023–

Across-the-board numbers dipped slightly in the Friday's opening session of the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, however three yearlings brought bids of $300,000 or more compared to one $300,000 yearling in last year's opener.

Paragon Farms LLC purchased the opening session high-seller Hip 119, Ajs Flashnthachicks, for $360,000. Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent for Stinebaugh Equine Enterprises, consigned the colt by leading sire Apollitical Jess colt from the first crop out of Flashing My Pjs by First Moonflash.
