The Los Alamitos Equine Sale concluded this weekend with impressive results, featuring a total of 136 horses sold for nearly $6 million, averaging $43,236.
Among the standout performers were two exceptional yearlings sired by Apollitical Jess, both of which surpassed the $100,000 mark, securing spots in the top 10 highest sellers. Hip #119, Cheap Bar, a colt out of the Big Daddy Cartel mare Honkey Tonk Daddy, was consigned by Burns Ranch and sold for $105,000. The fifth highest selling yearling, Hoosier Village, was purchased for an impressive $162,000. Burns Ranch also consigned the Apollitical Jess colt out of Remember The Rose, resulting in an average of $133,500 for these two standout yearlings.
In addition, just three yearlings sired by Flying Cowboy 123 were sold, averaging $52,333. Highlighting this group was Hip #116, Cowboy Country, a colt out of the Corona Cartel mare Haute Cartel, who sold for $96,000, placing him among the top sellers on the second day of the Los Alamitos Equine Sale.
While only five horses sired by Royal Vista Ranch Stallions sold, they certainly made their mark in California. We extend our best wishes to all parties involved as they embark on promising careers with these remarkable prospects.
