Grade 2 stakes winner Muy Peligrosito qualified for the $850,000-est. Ruidoso QH Derby on Sunday.


RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–JUNE 1, 2022–Muy Peligrosito, a graded stakes winning son of leading third-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, qualified for the $850,000-est. Ruidoso Derby(G1) on Sunday at Ruidoso Downs.

Under jockey Sergio Becerra, Jr., Muy Peligrosito finished second to 2021 All American Futurity(G1) winner Kj Desperado in the eighth trial. His time of :20.315 seconds, into a 20 mph headwind, held up as the fourth fastest on the day from the 10 trials contested for the rich derby.

Starting off a third-place effort in the Grade 3 West Texas Derby in his last start February 5th at Sunland Park, Muy Peligrosito races for owner Super Champion, Inc. and is trained by Eric Valenzuela.

Darling Farm and Jamie Gomez bred the sorrel gelding in Mexico from the Walk Thru Fire mare Peligrosita. Muy Peligrosito has compiled a (7) 4-1-1 record with wins in the Southwest Juvenile Invitational Championship(G2) and the All American Juvenile.  He has earned $171,082.
