OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 4, 2022—Turnpikers Eagle, a 2-year-old Paint son of leading third-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, qualified for the $226,033 Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Futurity[G1] in his first start Friday night at Remington Park.
The 10 fastest qualifiers, from nine trial races contested over 300 yards, will return to the Oklahoma City racetrack on Saturday, March 19th to vie for the winner's share of the purse.
Under jockey Josh Romero, Turnpikers Eagle finished fourth in the fastest trial to earn the eighth fastest time of :16.066 seconds.
Leading trainer Dee Kenner conditions the Oklahoma homebred for the Estate of Nolan D. Pevehouse. Nolan Pevehouse bred the 2-year-old form the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Me Turnpike.
