Mound Valley Eagle Becomes Two-Time Futurity Winner

Mount Valley Eagle, by ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, is now a two-time futurity winner and has earned nearly $100,000 this season.


AMARILLO, TX—OCTOBER 8, 2021—Mound Valley Eagle, a son of leading second-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, is now a two-time futurity winner after the American Quarter Horse Association released rulings this week for horses who competed in a 2021 "Stakes Race" and were disqualified due to medication positives.

Mound Valley Eagle was moved from second to first in the $107,869 Hadley/Giles Futurity contested May 1 at Weber Downs after B The One has been disqualified from 1st place due to a medication violation for Theophylline, a Class 3/B substance.   Luis Gonzalez was the trainer.

Mound Valley Eagle was moved from third to first in the $70,512 Beehive Futurity contested May 29th at Laurel Brown Racetrack after Runaway Witch was disqualified from 1st place and B The One was disqualified from 2nd place due to medication violations for Theophylline, a Class 3/B substance.  Both horses were trained by Luis Gonzalez.

Trainer Riley Moosman conditions the Idaho bred son of ONE FABULOUS EAGLE for owner's Andrea and Eddie Jensen.

Bred by Abigail Kawananoka, from the Foose mare Royal Fooseperrypie, Mound Valley Eagle has compiled an (8) 5-2-0 record and earned $99,423 this season. He was also second in the Sweetwater Downs Futurity and a finalist in the Bitterroot Futurity(RG3).
