Fearlously Ivory Breaks Maiden In Arizona Downs QH 2-Year-Old Maiden Stakes

Fearlously Ivory, under jockey, Jacob Enriquez, winning the $17,500 Arizona Downs QH 2-Year-Old Maiden Stakes (not black type) Tuesday at Arizona Downs.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ—JUNE 29, 2021—Fearlously Ivory, under jockey Jacob Enriquez, got her first career win Tuesday by defeating fastest qualifier Jess Anothercommando by three-quarters in the $17,500 Arizona Downs QH 2-Year-Old Maiden Stakes (not black type).

The daughter of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES completed the 250 yards in :13.396, equaling a 91 speed index over the "fast" racing surface. The Colorado-bred filly bounced off a third-placed effort in her career debut when she posted the fourth fastest qualifying time in the June 9th trials at Arizona Downs.

John M. Allred conditions the brown filly for owner Scott McDaniel. The $18,000 Los Alamitos Equine Mixed Sale graduate is out of the Tres Seis mare Ima Fearless Fire. Bred by Vaughn and Jill Cook, Fearlously Ivory has earned $10,900 in two starts.

Runner-up Jess Anothercommando chased throughout to earn $3,500 for owner-breeder Veronica Maria Hernandez. Guillermo Morales trains the daughter of leading sire Mr Jess Perry from the Corona Cartel mare Coronatac. Kevin Carbajal had the riding call aboard the California-bred.

Magisterial a daughter of third-crop sire Separate Interest, finished half-a-length back for owner-trainer Jesus Torres-Casas. Steve D. Burns bred the gray filly in California from the A Regal Choice mare A Regal Classic. Winless in two starts she has earned $2,550.

Shiny Slipper, First Corona Jr., Fabulously Me, Rockn Dynasty and Flashfire T completed the field. El Emperador and Nitty Gritty were scratched.
