Jettz Finishes Third In $672,732 Grade 1 Ruidoso QH Derby On Saturday

Jettz, a son of One Fabulous Eagle, has earned more than $440,000 to 3, 2021.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JUNE 12, 2021—Bobby D. Cox's homebred Jettz finished third behind Empressum and Valiant Stars in the $672,732 Ruidoso QH Derby Saturday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs. Just missing second by a neck, Jettz ran the 400 yards in :19.495 seconds, equaling a 101 speed index.

The Oklahoma-bred gelding boosted his career earnings mark to $440,707 after pocketing $67,273 for third.

The son of leading second-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE is trained by Juan Vazquez and ridden by Francisco Calderon. The brown gelding, who was third in the 3rd in the Ruidoso QH Futurity(G1) and 4th in the All American Futurity(G1) last year, is out of the First Down Dash mare First To Celebrate.

He is expected to make his next start in the $1 million-est. Rainbow Derby trials next month.
