Df Fabulous Jackie, under jockey Noe Garcia, Jr., setting the fastest qualifying time from seven trials on Sunday for the Ruidoso Maiden Stakes (not black type).
RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JUNE 6, 2021—
Df Fabulous Jackie, a 3-year-old filly, broke on top and never looked back to win the second race and was clocked with the fastest time of the day of :17.573 seconds for 350-yards during trials for the $96,968 Ruidoso Maiden Stakes (not black type) Sunday at Ruidoso Downs Race Track.
The track was fast and there was 12 MPH headwind on a mostly sunny day.
The Maiden Stakes is designed for Quarter Horses that were maidens up to and through March 1 of this year.
Trained by Jimmy Collier, the black filly is by second-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE
out of Eyema Candy Tree by Oak Tree, won for a second time in four lifetime starts for owners Richard Ford and Fred Sorenson. An $18,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, her previous win came at Remington Park on March 26.
“She got moving pretty quickly, and I never saw another horse until after the finish line,” said jockey Noe Garcia Jr. “It was an all-around solid performance, and she continues to improve every trip.”
The filly paid $6.00, $3.60 and $2.80 as the 2-1 betting favorite. She was bred in Oklahoma by Darling Farms.
