PHOENIX, AZ—APRIL 29, 2021—Under jockey Emilio Tapia, Mr Zee defeated Tresponte by head in the $15,000 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity Consolation last Thursday (April 29). 

The son of leading sire IVORY JAMES completed the 300 yards in :15.597 seconds, equaling a 94 speed index.

Trainer Jesus Olivas-Valenzuela conditions the Utah-bred colt for owner Ariana A. Garcia. Bred by Spackman Racing, from  the Separatist mare Zefee, the gray gelding earned $8,835 for his effort. It was the first win in two starts for Mr Zee.

Jockey Mark Jasso rode runner-up Tresponte , an Oklahoma-bred son of first-crop sire  Duponte.  First Corona Jr finished half-a-length off the leaders for third.
