Mound Valley Eagle return Saturday to finish second in the $107,889 Hadley-Giles Futurity at Weber Downs.


OGDEN, UT—MAY 1, 2021—Mound Valley Eagle, fastest qualifier to the $107,889 Hadley-Giles Futurity on April 17th, finished second in the 300 yard final at Weber Downs today (Saturday) to B The One.

Racing for owners Eddie and Andrea Jensen, the son of 2020's leading first-crop sire of winners ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, earned $21,575 for the effort. Winner B The One broke the 300 yard track record at Weber Downs and Mount Valley Eagle increased his highest speed index to 102 for finishing a game second.

Abigail K. Kawananakoa bred Mound Valley Eagle in Idaho from the Foose mare Royal Fooseperrypie. In his career debut April 17th Mound Valley Eagle won his trial by 1- ½ lengths to set the fastest qualifying time an earn a 98 speed index.

Jockey Jesus Valenzuela had the riding call for trainer Riley Moosman.
