One Fabulous Eagle, Ivory James Sire Alex Finalists To $100,0000 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity

Leading first-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE sired fourth fastest qualifier Memory Of Griffin to the $100,000 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity.


AJAX, ONT—SEPTEMBER 21, 2020—Leading first-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE and multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES each sired a finalist to the $100,000-added Alex Picov Memorial Futurity in Ajax, Ontario last week.

The 400 yard final will be contested Monday, October 5th at Ajax Downs.

 

Memory Of Griffin, a finalist in the August 26th $66,000 Ontario Bred Futurity, posted the 4th  fastest time for owner-breeders Joyce and Erik Lehtinen. Also trained by Erik, the son of ONE FABULOUS EAGLE was ridden by jockey Jose Cruz.

Out of the Leaving Memories mare Is It Memorex, Memory Of Griffin posted a :20.634 time for the  400 yards. He has won or placed in three of six starts this season and earned $8,165.

Carol and Jaime Robertson's Whisky James, by IVORY JAMES, was clocked in :21.025 seconds to secure the 7th fastest time. Jockey Tony Phillips had the riding call on the bay gelding for trainer Bryn Robertson.

Also a finalist in the aforementioned Ontario Bred Futurity, Whisky James was bred by Guylaine Paquin form the Holland Ease mare Easily Holland. He has won or placed in two of five starts and banked $10,171 this season.
