Leading first-crop sire One Fabulous Eagle sired another futurity finalist on Saturday.


WAYNE, OK—SEPTEMBER 14, 2020—Royal Vista Ranches stallion's IVORY JAMES and ONE FABULOUS EAGLE had qualifiers over the weekend at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Peves Big Hoss, a gelding by leading first-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, posted the 9th fastest time from six trials contested for the $175,000-est. Oklahoma Horsemen's Mystery Futurity on Saturday at Will Rogers.

Trainer Clinton Crawford conditions the Oklahoma-bred from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Ima Pyc China Doll for owner-breeder Gordon Pevehouse. Under jockey Francisco Calderon Peves Big Hoss covered the 350 yards in :17.879 seconds.  

The 350 yard Oklahoma Horsemen's Mystery Futurity final will be contested Sunday, September 27th.

Sunday at Will Rogers Downs, Reverend James posted the 9th fastest time from two trials for the $30,000-added Adequan Will Rogers Derby Challenge.

Also trained by Crawford, the lightly raced son of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES races for owner Ron Cameron. The Coronas Black Diamond Partnership bred the bay gelding in New Mexico from Ravine by Coronas Black Diamond.

Ridden by jockey Mario Delgado, Reverend James clocked a :20.244 time for the 400 yards.

The Adequan Will Rogers Derby Challenge final will be contested Sunday, October 4th. The winner will also receive an invite to the $150,000-est. Adequan Derby Challenge Championship(G3) to be run October 24th during the Bank of America Challenge Championships at The Downs at Albuquerque.
