A Fabulos Painting Sets Second Fastest Time for Mystic Lake Northland Futurity

Leading first-crop sire One Fabulous Eagle got another stakes qualifiers this week when A Fabulos Painting set the second fastest time for the Mystic Lake Northland Futurity.


SHAKOPEE, MN— JULY 28, 2020—The all Quarter Horse card at Canterbury on Tuesday afternoon continued with three trials to the $86,900 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity and a son of leading first-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE set the second fastest qualifying time.

A Fabulos Painting was the upset winner of the first trial and set a time of :18.003 that was only bested by  fastest qualifier Jess One Lane.

The ONE FABULOUS EAGLE gelding debuted at Remington Park before racing in trials in Minnesota. All-time leading Canterbury Quarter Horse jockey Nik Goodwin had the riding call for trainer Jason Olmstead and owners Tom Maher, Paul Luedemann, and the L Team.

A Fabulos Painting was bred in Oklahoma by Darling Farms, out of Painted Summer, by Pyc Paint Your Wagon.

Whisperalittleprayer, an Oklahoma-bred daughter of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES, posted the 5th fastest time for the Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity. Racing for owner-breeder Brenda Reiswig, Whisperalittleprayer is trained by Clinton Crawford and ridden by Katlin Bedford. She clocked a time of :18.115 seconds.
