Jettz Earns Grade 1 Black Type In $1-Million Ruidoso Futurity(G1)

Bobby D. Cox's Jettz finished third in the Grade 1 $1-Million Ruidoso Futurity on Sunday at Ruidoso Downs.


RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JUNE 8, 2020—Jettz, a 2-year-old son of leading first-crop sire ONE FABULOUS EAGLE, earned his balck type on Sunday when he finished a close third in the $1-Million Grade 1 Ruidoso Futurity at Ruidoso Downs. <p>

The Bobby D. Cox owned-and-bred runner picked up an even $100,000 for his third-place effort. Saddled by John Buchanan and ridden by Francisco Calderon, the fastest qualifier from day-2 of the trials is out of the First Down Dash mare First To Celebrate. 

The most seasoned horse in the field, Jettz has compiled a (4) 1-0-2 record and earned $168,834. He was also a finalist in the restricted Grade 1 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity in April.

His next start could come next month in trials for the $1-Million Rainbow Futurity(G1) at Ruidoso Downs.
