Stakes winner Htr Miamor Tequilla qualified fro the Grade 1 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship at Los Alamitos Race Course.


LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 21, 2020—Htr Miamor Tequilla, a multiple graded-placed son of HEART OF THE CARTEL, qualified for the $159,550 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship(G1) at 400 yards on Sunday night at Los Alamitos Race Course.

Conditioned by trainer Juan Aleman, the 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred, finished fourth in a blanket finish in the second trial to record the eighth-fastest clocking of :19.855 seconds. Among horses he defeated in that trial were recently crowned AQHA Racing Word Champion He Looks Hot and stakes winner My Favorite Cartel.

Racing for owner-breeder HTR Stables, LLC, Htr Miamor Tequilla has compiled a (17) 6-2-2 record while earning nearly $80,000.  He won the Skip Zimmerman Memorial Stakes, was third in the Two Rivers Stakes(G3), Keokuk Stakes(G3) and a finalist in the Oklahoma Derby(G3).

Htr Miamor Tequilla is out of the Tinys First Corona mare Sheila Tequilla.
