Had To Be Ivory Repeats As The Canadian Champion

Had To Be Ivory has won back-to-back AQHA Racing Champion Canadian titles.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—JANUARY 15, 2020—Had To Be Ivory, a 5-year-old son of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES repeats as the AQHA Racing Canadian Champion for 2019. The 2015 gelding, out of Had To Be Fandango by Hadtobenuts, earned the same honor in 2018. 

He won three of five starts and earned $50,004 in 2019, with wins in the Ontario-Bred Maturity and Picov Maturity. 

The Ontario-bred gelding races for breeders Carol and Jaime Robertson and was trained by Bryn Robertson and ridden by Tony Phillips.  He has compiled (14) 11-2-0 record in three seasons at the track and banked $162,089.
