Ivory James sired Marfilmio to a second-place finish in the $19,150 RMQHA Championship at Arapahoe Park on Saturday.


WAYNE, OK—AUGUST 12, 2019—Marfilmio, a colt by multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES, finished second in the $19,150 RMQHA Championship at Arapahoe Park on Saturday. Jose Barron conditions the 4-year-old for owner Hugo Sierra.

Bobby D. Cox bred the gray colt in Texas from the Mr Jess Perry mare Sinuous. He has compiled a (15) 5-4-1 record and earned $52,710.  Jesus Olivas was riding.

A pair of DOMINYUN 3-year-olds qualified for the $10,000-added Arizona Downs Quarter Horse Derby on Sunday.

 

Lin Melton saddled Trump Train to the sixth fastest time for owner/breeders Bob and Scott Giltner The Idaho-bred gelding is out of Stolen Corona by Corona For Me. Jake Samuels was up.

 

Also an Idaho-homebred for Giltner's, Pink Shoelaces posted the 8th fastest time.  Melton trains the DOMINYUN filly out of Check The List by Check Him Out. Samuels was aboard.
