Sf Hot Pass (#4) and Glimpse Of Fire hit the wire at the same time in Friday's $34,750 TQHA 250 Stakes Friday night at Retama Park.

SELMA, TX—JULY 26, 2019—The camera could not separate multiple stakes winners Sf Hot Pass and Glimpse Of Fire at the wire of the $34,750 TQHA 250 Stakes Friday night at Retama Park. The pair split the winners' purse and pocketed $13,900 each for the effort.

The clock was stopped in :13.382 seconds, a 97 speed index as the pair finished three-quarters ahead of third-place finisher Potus.

Francisco Calderon rode SF Hot Pass for owner Stormy Fisher and trainer Leon Bard.  P & J Racing Ltd. and D. Stroebel bred the eight-time winning son of IVORY JAMES  from the Mr Jess Perry mare Passem Up Perry. He has earnd more than $140,000. 

Trainer Martin Rodriguez saddled Glimpse Of Fire, a 4-year-old son of Glimpse Of Greatness, for owner Mario G. Rodriguez. Luis Vivanco was aboard the homebred out of Pie Opener by Mr Eye Opener. The sorrel gelding has earned $60,140.

Third-place finisher Potus races for owner/breeder Pat Allen and is trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III. Cipriano Vidana rode the Toast To Dash 7-year-old out of Toole N Round by Jody O Toole. The chestnut gelding picked up $3,823 to bring his earnings mark to $45,110.

Shake Em Rocks, Ss Classyjess, Mystical Jess, Cartel M, Toastin Miss Jody and Elite Connection completed the field. Louisiana Seis was scratched.
