Pitchfork Panthers was the fastest qualifier in the April 9th Golden Spike Futurity trials at Weber Downs.

WAYNE, OK—APRIL 29, 2019—Pitchforks Panther, a 2-year-old son of multiple stakes sire DOMINYUN, finished second in the $51,448 Golden Spike Futurity at Weber Downs on Saturday, April 27.

Roberto Treto conditions the Colorado-bred 2-year-old for owner Victor Ortiz.  Ramiro Garcia had the riding call and picked up $10,289 for the effort.

Pitchforks Panther, out of the Panther Mountain mare Special Lady Panther, was the fastest qualifier in the April 9th trials. The Painted Pitchfork is the breeder.

Vf Silverback, a son of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES, finished third in the Golden Spike Futurity for owners Kelly and Kyle Cook.

Oklahoma-bred Vf Silverback earned $5,144 for his third-place effort. Jay Pitcher conditions the $16,500 Heritage Place Sale graduate from the Mr Jess Perry mare Perrys Folly. Victory Farms is the breeder and Oscar Cervantes had the riding assignment.

In other news over the weekend Ivory Bac, a 3-year-old filly by IVORY JAMES, qualified for the $25,000-added Adequan Sun Downs Derby Challenge in Washington State on Saturday.

Scott Raley conditions the filly, out of Sneak Bac by Splash Bac, for owner Connie Chumbley. Bred in Oregon by the Gary Chumbley Estate, Ivory Bac was ridden by Robert Burney.
