Takoradi Qualifies For El Moro De Cumpas Stakes

TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 3, 2019—Takoradi, a 6-year-old son of multiple stakes sire IVORY JAMES, qualified for the $15,000-Added El Moro De Cumpas Stakes on Saturday at Rillito Park in Tucson.

The royally-bred colt from the Grade 1 winning First Down Dash mare All About Ease, finished second in his trial to get the fourth fastest time of :16.781 seconds for the 330 yards.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from three trial races contested, will return to Rillito Park on Sunday, March 17th to vie for the winner's share of the $15,000-added purse.

Trainer Umberto Belloc saddled the brown horse for owner Abram Belloc. Bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, Takoradi has compiled a (17) 4-1-0 record and banked $18,872.

Takoradi was a finalist in the Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge(G3) at 2.
