OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—JANUARY 17, 2019—Had To Be Ivory, a son of leading sire IVORY JAMES, was named the 2018 AQHA Racing Canadian Champion on Thursday night.
AQHA honored it's 2018 AQHA Racing Champions during a ceremony held at Heritage Place in Oklahoma City.
Racing for breeders Carol and Jaime Robertson, Had To Be Ivory won three of four starts in 2018 and earned $42,154. His wins included the Picov Derby and the AQHA Downs Bonus Derby Challenge. Both races were conducted at Ajax Downs.
Bryn Robertson trained the IVORY JAMES gelding out of the Hadtobenuts mare Had To Be Fandango.
