Joker On Jack, Hez Snow Quick Run 1-2 in Hialeah Laddie Futurity

HIALEAH, FL—DECEMBER 30, 2012—PYC PAINT YOUR WAGON's Joker On Jack and WAVE CARVER's Hez Snow Quick finished 1-2 in the $203,440 Hialeah Laddie Futurity on Sunday afternoon.

Jockey Raul Gutierrez made sure Joker On Jack didn't get caught at the wire Sunday afternoon, picking up his second stakes victory of the year. Wade Helton's 2-year-old gelding completed the 400 yards in :19.576 seconds to win the 4th running of the $204,440 Hialeah Laddie Futurity on Sunday afternoon. The $85,865 winner's purse pushed his season total past $158,000.

Alfred Gomez trains the PYC PAINT YOUR WAGON Oklahoma-bred out of the Six Fortunes mare Miss Six Fortune. He as won three of seven starts including winning the OQHRA Mystery Futurity at Will Rogers Downs last month. Corner K Quarter Horses, LLC is the breeder.

Matt Frazier saddled Hez Snow Quick to a second place effort for Dan Frazier. The WAVE CARVER gelding was ridden by Shanley Jackson. Marcus Smith bred Hez Snow Quick in Oklahoma from the This Snow Is Royal mare Shez Snow Quick. The gray gelding picked up $36,799 for the effort pushing his career total just shy of $55,000.

Fastest qualifier Connor Corona finished third off the inside rail for owner M and D Racing, Inc. and trainer Yoani Abreu. Geraldo Garrido rode the gelding bred in Louisiana by Tom Batten.

Completing the field were Carverson, Hey List, Hiclass Fly, Dm Red Tide, Kodiak B, Salado Secret and Habits Secret.
