Two-Year-Olds By Royal Vista Stallions Post Top Training Times at Remington

Training races continued this week at Remington Park in anticipation of the March 6 Quarter Horse & Mixed Breed season opener.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 26, 2015—Royal Vista Ranches' stallions were well represented Wednesday (Feb. 25) as Remington Park hosted 12 more races for two-year-olds.

In Race 7 Woop Dee Do broke in at the start, straightened out and took the lead under a couple of taps from the rider before impressing with a 3¼ length win in :13.50 seconds for the third fastest time on Wednesday. Also a Heritage Place September Yearling, Woop Dee Doo is by the late first crop sire GOOD REASON SA out of Jess Racy Eyes, by Mr Jess Perry.

Ricardo Martinez purchased Woop Dee Do for $16,000 from John Andreini and Vince Genco. He is half brother to Oklahoma Futurity(G2) winner Fetching Beauty ($135,000) from the family of champion Miss Racy Jess ($485,113).

Cotacachi, an IVORY JAMES homebred for Bobby D. Cox, put in a strong rally after a slow start to pull clear by a length in Race 6. The John Buchanan trainee stopped the timer with the fourth fastest time of : 13.56 seconds. Originally consigned to the Heritage Place September Sale, Cotacachi was listed as an out.

He is out of the stakes winning Runaway Winner mare No Fees ($166,320), a multiple stakes producer from the family of Champion Brimmerton ($519,538).

The 2015 Remington Park Quarter Horse & Mixed Breed season opens on Friday, March 6 and runs through Saturday, May 30. Post times for the Opening Weekend of the season are 6pm on Friday, March 6; 5pm on Saturday, March 7; and 1:30pm on Sunday, March 8.
